3DFHDN, 1 year, couple of questions

    Hi,

So it's been a year now I use the 3DFHDN nearly everyday!
And I have to say it is a great product!
I am very happy with it!

There are still some little things that aren't perfect, I don't know if there is a solution :

    1. Some issues in music and sound decoding.
I am found of hi-fi and i can hear weird trebles when playing videos with AAC encoded audio.
So i switched to a higher bitrate compression (192 kbit/s).
It does help but it is still not perfect.
It doesn't sound like a cheap treble from a bad mp3 file, it sounds like rain or water but there is none.
And it is not coming from the file, when i play it from my PC, i don't get this strange trebles.
Is there something that can be done to improve?

    2. The copy function from an usb key to the hard drive.
Well, it is not usable. If you transfert heavy files, it uses to freeze.
The only solution is to restore the firmware, whitch is not fun to do.
So, i only use a computer to do the files transfert.

    3. The random/shuffle play function
I have a folder with 500 video clips, nice to play them while doing sport!
So I press the random/shuffle option while playing.
It works but always follow the same order, wich is a shame.
This order can only change if i do a lot of modifications in the folder, erase some files, put new ones.
Even if i turn the 3DFHDN on and off, it always follow the same order, whatever the first file played...
Is there a real randomize function somewhere?

    4. Wifi
Well, I never managed to make the wifi fonction working.
It is my fault, I am not an advanced user and it is not a plug and play thing.

    Thanks for your answers!
    Hello,

That is a Standard MP3 Bitrate - you should test much higher Bitrates, like 256/320 if you like perfect and clear Sound!!!

Well, sounds like a classical Decoding Problem. Please test and try other Coding Tools.

Well, that is not a perfect indication. You should not Forget, on a PC you are using Soft-Coding - the Software can handle many variables. A Hard-coded Player, like the Fantec Player Supports industiral Standards!

Sounds like inconsistency Hard Drives and/or Sticks!

    No.

Well, where is the Question? ;)
Do you have installed an Fantec WiFi Stick? The Player hmself cannot get any WiFi Connection without an Optional WiFi Stick.
