3DFHDL and FLAC, scratches and clicks and pops

3DFHDL and FLAC, scratches and clicks and pops

    Dear All, sorry I disturb.
I'm experiencing a trouble with FLAC files I'm not able to get rid of.
I'm transferring my own CDs to 3DFDHL.
I rip them with EAC to WAV.
Then I use FLAC frontend to convert them to FLAC, Level 5.
I test them with a FLAC tester that says OK.
I transfer them to 3DFHDL via USB.
Then I enter the folder where I've stored the FLAC files and press Play.
At the very start of most of them there's a damn scratchy noise, sometimes more a pop or a double click ;( that tries to kill my beloved tweeters.
The same files played by 3DFDHL as WAV are played faultless.
I've tried changing FLAC level, Foobar, other converters,.
It looks like 3DFDHL cannot read FLACs properly.
Or (most likely?) I'm missing some important setting somewhere either in FLAC-ing or in setting the 3DFHDL.
Did anyone ever experience such a problem, Bitte?
Can anyone try to give me a clue, Bitte?
    Thanks in advance. Tschuess. Alberto
    Hi,

sounds like you got some problems with your encoding but it's not allowed to talk about encoding in the forum!

I suggest you to download a testfile from the WWW and you try it with this files. When there's no problem you can go for other sources and read/ask there for more informations about encoding.

    Best regards,
    Lars
